Winder Electrical has gained an enviable reputation for its versatility in electrical engineering and this has helped the company secure an excellent portfolio of maintenance contracts. One such project involved some 50 transformers at the Fiddlers Ferry coal-fired power station, near Warrington in Cheshire.

Working closely in hand with the power station’s operator, AEP Energy, Winder Electrical was committed to a plan of preventative maintenance for an efficient operation and as a cost-effective way of avoiding the potentially high cost of necessary refurbishment in the future.
