Electrical has recently completed a £1.2m contract to design,
build and install some 55 distribution and isolation transformers for
23 separate sites across London. As part
of the ongoing development for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, the project
is one of the biggest in the company’s long and successful history.
The
transformers range in size from 500kVA to 8MVA and provide the power
for ancillary equipment for the crucial second section of the high-speed
link. The route runs from Southfleet in Kent to St Pancras via Dagenham
including a below-water Thames crossing.
