Winder Electrical have the design and engineering capability to repair and rewind transformers up to 50MVA @ 66kV.

Transformers can be rewound to accommodate different voltages and varying vector groups to suit customer's specific requirements.

In the event of a transformer failure, engineers will isolate, make safe and disconnect cables/busbars before removing the unit for transport for full test and appraisal.

In addition to oil cooled transformer repairs, Winder Elelctrical can also offer the facility of rewinding and repairing dry type transformers utilising Class 220 insulation.

Upon satisfactory completion of the repair, the unit would be re-installed, fully tested and commissioned.

ONAN transformers can be uprated to OFAF by equipping the units with fans and pumps, associated control gear and new radiators if required.
Repairs and refurbishment to tap changers can also be undertaken.
